With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector throughout Michigan, Ziarko comes to the Chamber with expertise in strategic planning, relationships, fund development, advocacy and major events.
Most recently, Ziarko served as the Development Director for The Heat and Warmth Fund (THAW), a Michigan-based nonprofit focused on providing utility assistance to low-income families in crisis. Ziarko was responsible for securing $3.1 million in fundraising for the organization during her tenure.
Prior to THAW, Ziarko served in a variety of roles for ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, including leading the regional development for Michigan.
Angie Lommen, Chamber Board Chair, led the Succession Committee, and she commented, "Stacy's capabilities, in combination with power of exceptional staff, are a win-win for our Chamber! We know we have found the perfect next leader to continue the Chamber's forward progress. We ask our members and our community partners to join us in welcoming Stacy as our new leader."
Stacy is a lifelong resident of Sterling Heights and currently serves on the Sterling Heights Arts Commission and is a member of the Sterling Heights Library Board of Directors.
"I'm ready for this new adventure in my hometown and to lead the team in growing our membership," said Ziarko. "I look forward to interacting with the staff, the great Chamber members and engaging with our upcoming events."
Stacy holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dayton and served as a member of the University of Dayton Alumni Board of Directors as well as the Detroit Community Leader, engaging hundreds of alumni throughout Southeast Michigan.
