I couldn't be more excited to introduce the #YoPros Steering Committee for the remainder of 2016. This committee meets once a month and it is their duty to help plan and promote #YoPros events, oversee the governance, succession planning and structure of our group, they help recruit new members, and our Joint Chairs (who I will be introducing momentarily) are invited to attend the monthly SHRCCI Board of Directors meetings. The Chairs act as the main point of contact between #YoPros and the Chamber, and it also leverages our young professionals to have a voice at the table.
Without further ado, I'd like to introduce the 2016 #YoPros Steering Committee:
Steve Grogan is an Investment Advisor Representative with Atticus Wealth Management. Steve has built a practice with Atticus around putting his clients’ interest first. He understands that every individual, family and business have their own unique goals. He assists clients in achieving their short and long term goals.
Steve graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's in Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration. He has been an active member of the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2011 - involved with the Ambassadors program, BRAG, and was appointed as a Joint Chair for #YoPros in 2016. Steve also serves on the Board of Directors for the Sterling Heights Community Federal Credit Union.
Steve was born and raised in Southeastern Michigan and he resides in Macomb with his wife, Michele, and their sons, Connor and Cillian. His hobbies include home brewing, shooting, music, sailing & boating, and spending time at the family cottage on Lake Huron.
Denise Mansfield is currently in the process of opening her own Farm Bureau insurance agency in Macomb. Mansfield Insurance Group will be opening this fall! Her degree in business and experience in commercial and personal insurance, provides a unique value to her clients right here in the community.
Denise just celebrated her 1 year anniversary with our Chamber, but has been a very active member. She is the Guest Host for her BRAG Group, she is in the process of joining the Ambassadors, and she was also appointed as a Joint Chair for #YoPros for the remainder of 2016. She is excited to help bridge the gap in experience and value to all members of #YoPros and the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber.
Denise resides in Macomb with her husband, Aaron, and their two children, Ava and Carter. She enjoys watching documentaries, visiting breweries and spending time with family. In the next 10 years, Denise wants to go on a family vacation every year, get a dog, have a thriving business and learn how to play the piano.
Mike Pietila is the Owner & President of the Mortgage Beyond Network. He created his company after finding ways to make the home loan process easier for borrowers and professionals alike. Mike has been in business since 2013 and has saved his members a ton of time, money, and stress. The Mortgage Beyond Network is currently planning a national expansion and creating more unique and innovative services.
While Mike Pietila’s office is based in Troy, he resides in Sterling Heights with his wife, Erin, of four years and their dog, Broozer. Mike is a lifetime resident of Metro Detroit. He has been an active SHRCCI member since 2014 and is excited to contribute to the growth of #YoPros.
Randi Olson is a Forensic Accountant at UHY Advisors MI, Inc., a public accounting firm. She has the professional designation of a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Fraud Investigation from Davenport University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Science in Accountancy from Walsh College. Prior to joining UHY, Randi was the controller for a middle market aerospace company.
Randi is passionate about the professional growth and development of her peers. She recognizes the need for young professionals to make connections now, and grow together throughout their careers. Aside from serving on the steering committee for #YoPros, Randi is an auxiliary police officer for the City of Hazel Park and a volunteer fire fighter the City of Troy.
Phil Kraft is currently serving as Constituent Services Representative for Congresswoman Miller. Phil has spent the last 4 years meeting and talking to the people of Macomb and St. Clair Counties to bridge the gap between Congress and the citizens. He has worked with seniors, veterans, high school students, local leaders, and members of the business community.
Phil earned his Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Saginaw Valley State University. He is also currently running for County Commissioner in District 8, which includes Chesterfield Twp., New Baltimore, Lenox Twp. and New Haven. He and his fiancée, Pam, are set to be married in the fall of 2017.
For the past four years, Pamela has worked as the sales representative for Tedesco Building Services, Inc., a commercial cleaning company, based in Sterling Heights. She has been an active member of the Chamber since 2011 becoming involved in BRAG with a previous job through her current boss, Gary Tedesco. A graduate of Oakland University with a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, Pamela has worked in sales since then appreciating the opportunity it affords to meet new people and build long lasting relationships.
Pamela resides in Macomb Township with her husband, Michael, son, Luke, and dog, Milo. In addition to spending time with her family, Pamela enjoys digging in the garden, pretending she can cook like Bobby Flay, mehndi art and photography.
Briana Koehn is the Founder and Coordinator of #YoPros for the Sterling Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce. Briana has been working for the Chamber for the past 2 years wearing many different hats - social media management, marketing and advertising, website content, writer/blogger, event planning, and more.
Briana graduated from Grand Valley State University (Go Lakers!) with a Bachelor's in Advertising and Public Relations. In addition to working at the Chamber, Briana has been working in the wedding business for the last 5 years as a planner.
On the rare occasion that Briana has any downtime, she can be found at the beach, in a shopping mall, traveling the world, cooking delicious Italian cuisines while drinking red wine, or playing with her cat, Meeko.
