I’ve been the Member/Guest Services Specialist since September of 2014. What I loved about my job at the Chamber is that no two days were the same for me. I wore many different hats here, but my primary responsibilities involved manning the front desk, managing our social media accounts and website content/analytics, I was a part of the Marketing and Events committees, I started the Chamber’s young professionals network, #YoPros, and I did a lot of writing. Oh – and I also gave out the bathroom code in our building at least 5 times a day!
During the last two years at the Chamber, I have had the pleasure of getting to know many of you, your employees and what products/services you have to offer. I’ve even made quite a few friendships that I’m sure will go a long way! You have all been so welcoming, supportive, and accepting of my (sometimes) crazy ideas, my loud personality and my passion for small business.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Chamber staff, the board of directors and each and every one of you for all of your support over the last two years. I am very grateful for the time I have spent at the Chamber, the experience I was able to gain, and the professional relationships I have built with all of you along the way. It has been my pleasure working with so many of you and for this great organization. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Don’t be too upset because I’m not going far! I am excited to let you know I have accepted the position as Director of Fund Development at Macomb County Habitat for Humanity. A big part of my new job will be meeting with local businesses and getting you involved - whether it be through volunteering, attending a fundraiser, or corporate development. Now, I will just be an attendee at Chamber events, as opposed to an employee. With that being said, if you’d like to set up a meeting, or if you’re interested in learning about Habitat, I’d be happy to meet with you! Connect with me by sending me an email to email@example.com.
See you around!
